And Gary was sitting again. Delia was not on speaking terms with him any more today. Maybe it was just as well. After that mess with that client she was hollering about, he just was not in the mood for her temperament.

I seriously dunno how long I sat there.
Kinda embarrassing now that I think back.
But I wasn't exactly thinking straight at the time, ya know?
Pretty ridiculous, but often the most ridiculous things can pull a person outta kilter, I suppose.
I had tried not to notice. I tried really, really hard. But it kept on jumping up, in the corner of my eyes. Every time I tried to face it, it would just disappear, mind you. Really irritating.
